Simulate Slow Internet Connection With Chrome Developer Tools

Want to test how your website or app works for users with a slow internet connection, or when the connection completely drops? Chrome lets you do exactly this.
Open up the Developer Tools (Menu –> More Tools –> Developer Tools or keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + I on Windows and Command + Option + I for Mac) and select the Network tab.
Click the dropdown that says Online. From here you can pick from a few different options such as Slow 3G or Offline.
You can also create your own profiles with specific up/down speed etc. To do this, click Add… in the dropdown.
Very handy.
